It was an exciting wedding celebrated on the beach in one of our beautiful Islands here in Puerto Rico. I selected some of my favorites, but only a few out of so many I like. I can only describe this young couple as cool and great to work with. We all had an awesome time at this destination beach wedding, at a nice tropical spot to the east of the main island.

Just a glimpse of this awesome couple and the gorgeous scenery we had for some exciting photos.

-0328A recent wedding of mine at the Ritz Carlton, here in san Juan, Puerto Rico, was with a lovely couple from the states, who’s academics are in psicology and medicine. The day before the main wedding, they had a special Korean ceremony, in the tradition of Simon’s parents. They decided to have an outdoor ceremony by the beach and a great reception party in one of the main ball rooms. I included a few photos I liked below:

Hi everyone!

It’s been a very busy past few months and I’d like to share some of my recent events here. First I want to share the engagement of Marissa and Charles, which I shot at the hotel’s beach and at the El Morro fortress in Old San Juan and the nearby scenery. Here are just a few photos of the many beautiful pictures taken that day. -8983-9012-9036-9086-9092-9110-9112-9141

Hiring a professional photographer to help capture those beautiful moments is an important step in your wedding preparation. Follow these guidelines for best results when selecting a wedding photographer:

If you are planning a destination wedding,  you may wish to look out for the best and for the one with the particular style you want, before you decide on one, as it is a bit higher than an amateur photographer. But you cannot expect an amateur photographer to take the same quality of your wedding ceremony pictures as they will not be able to meet up the standards which a professional photographer guarantees on. Wedding photography requires a lot of skill and artistry to take those perfect memories.  Lighting, contrast, composition, body positions, all play a part in making those photos beautiful. Now that you have understood the importance of professional wedding photography, it’s time to find the right person who is skilled especially for wedding ceremony and reception party. You will cherish and display your wedding photographs all your life and even show them to your children and grandchildren, to remember the beautiful and wonderful moments of that day. A Professional Wedding photographer is the best option to cherish those beautiful moments.

Part 1 of Lauren and Charlie’s Wedding

They really know how to do it and have a real good time! I met them personally, a few days to the wedding, and I found them to be a nice and down to earth couple, whom I very much enjoyed getting to know. It was a Jewish ceremony on the beach, and their destination wedding place of choice, was at the Ritz Carlton this last Saturday here in San Juan, PR.

But the coolest thing about their wedding, was at the reception. Wow, these people really know how to party and have a good time! I think everybody danced and did their thing, to the beat of a very good local DJ called “djPhred” which played a large variety of music genres, from the classics of Frank Sinatra, to the seventies, 80’s, all the way up to the modern hip hop.

From the very first day we met, and especially on the wedding day, I felt Lauren and Charlie are two people that are very easy to become friends with. A mature couple that seem to have their life and priorities in order, and are really great to have around. Interestingly, they met 6 years ago! …when a common friend introduced them. For them, just being here in tropical Puerto Rico, away from the cold weather of New York and Maryland, was just great. It was the most pleasant breezy late afternoon and night, and it could not have been any better! It was only at the last moment that the rain officially ended the party, at the end of a great evening.

Lauren and Charlie, your wedding was amazing! and it was so nice to have met you guys and to have taken part in capturing those special memories and to have shared soooo many fun moments! I wish you much happiness in your marriage together.

Photo Shoot with Kany Garcia
I was very excited to have been invited by a local wedding and home magazine called: CASATE, which roughly translated means “get married” this past week! Shot in the Caribe Hilton hotel here in San Juan, on the exterior open patio area. She is a very talented singer and rock musician here in Puerto Rico and very hot right now! You can check out her videos and interviews on her site, by searching her name online. In her interview with Gretchen Dilan, the editor in chief of “Casate”, she said that if she gets married, she prefers to have her wedding at a country style rustic hacienda, and not in the usual places. She is also planning to release her new CD in which she said to have a more “romantic” feel in the songs, than in previous recordings, so all you couples out there, look out for this one. But read more about this interview on the upcoming issue of Casate Magazine. And now, just to give you an exclusive sneak preview, only for my guests here at my blog, of some of the images from the photo shoot, take a peak here!

LA CASONA RESTAURANT is an amazing place to celebrate weddings. It is a huge place with many rooms and great food. It has a very romantic spanish/colonial style ambiance, and being there gives you an “old world Spain flavor” which I found to be fantastic for weddings and other events. I had just met the owners, Manolo and Myrta, who are the founders which opened the doors in 1972. It’s a pretty big place, with several bars and even a wine cellar. Manolo loves showing off his favorite pets that are two exotic birds called “Guacamayos” seen in the photos here.

I was invited to do a shoot by a local magazine called Casate Magacin, which means “Get Married” and had a great time meeting allot of people there, including the bride and groom, who’s names are Abraham and Rebeca, who were getting married there that day. I wasn’t their official photographer, so I only took a few, seen here below. Away from the usually congested Old San Juan scene and the Hotels, while only a few minutes away. it’s a great alternative for weddings. But better than talk about it, see some pictures from it here:
