Photo Shoot with Kany Garcia
I was very excited to have been invited by a local wedding and home magazine called: CASATE, which roughly translated means “get married” this past week! Shot in the Caribe Hilton hotel here in San Juan, on the exterior open patio area. She is a very talented singer and rock musician here in Puerto Rico and very hot right now! You can check out her videos and interviews on her site, by searching her name online. In her interview with Gretchen Dilan, the editor in chief of “Casate”, she said that if she gets married, she prefers to have her wedding at a country style rustic hacienda, and not in the usual places. She is also planning to release her new CD in which she said to have a more “romantic” feel in the songs, than in previous recordings, so all you couples out there, look out for this one. But read more about this interview on the upcoming issue of Casate Magazine. And now, just to give you an exclusive sneak preview, only for my guests here at my blog, of some of the images from the photo shoot, take a peak here!

LA CASONA RESTAURANT is an amazing place to celebrate weddings. It is a huge place with many rooms and great food. It has a very romantic spanish/colonial style ambiance, and being there gives you an “old world Spain flavor” which I found to be fantastic for weddings and other events. I had just met the owners, Manolo and Myrta, who are the founders which opened the doors in 1972. It’s a pretty big place, with several bars and even a wine cellar. Manolo loves showing off his favorite pets that are two exotic birds called “Guacamayos” seen in the photos here.

I was invited to do a shoot by a local magazine called Casate Magacin, which means “Get Married” and had a great time meeting allot of people there, including the bride and groom, who’s names are Abraham and Rebeca, who were getting married there that day. I wasn’t their official photographer, so I only took a few, seen here below. Away from the usually congested Old San Juan scene and the Hotels, while only a few minutes away. it’s a great alternative for weddings. But better than talk about it, see some pictures from it here:
